To strengthen system security and fairness, Mintmeme V2 (Sonic Network) introduces a lightweight minting fee mechanism:
Minting Fee: 0.09 $S (Sonic native token)
Mechanism: This fee is automatically charged with each mint, used to purchase MAR, and then burned.
Key purposes of this mechanism:
Mitigates "near-zero cost" minting attacks: In the previous setup, attackers could exploit ultra-low-cost, high-frequency minting to manipulate the system and disrupt fair participation. The introduction of a small fee raises the barrier and effectively deters such abuse;
Drives value to MAR: Each mint creates buy pressure on MAR and simultaneously burns the acquired tokens, reinforcing deflation and long-term token value;
Establishes a sustainable incentive loop: By tying user actions to tokenomics, the system ensures long-term health and growth of the MemeFi ecosystem.
